  1. trying to avoid verbigeration…

    i used to write daily. in the last few years, that habit has died a slow, lingering death perpetuated by an increasingly chaotic schedule and a creativity-sucking day job. i have never had a blog and am probably the only 27-year-old blog virgin around, so, be gentle.

    verbigeration is the repetition of nonsense words and phrases (and is one of those awesome words that you would never, ever say in conversation because it would sound ridiculous and, surprisingly, never comes up). this entry is about me being a little nervous about jumping back into writing in a sort of public way…and then making a complete ass of myself.

    you can expect a lot of ellipses and parentheses from me. i am a big fan of unnecessary but technically acceptable punctuation.

  2. We Are Blonds. Blonds Who Wear Boots.

    We reached a simple epiphany while sitting there on the couch, drunk from wine, boot-clad legs curled up underneath us: we are blonds…in boots. Sure, it’s no Paul on the road to Damascus or anything. I mean, give us a break. We drink a lot. Obviously. How else could we create an entire website (and facebook and twitter) based on the color of our hair and the adornment on our feet. And let’s face it, we change our hair color about as often as we change our shoes – so… maybe we haven’t thought this through fully. But I digress. At this exact moment in time, we are blond and we pretty much wear boots everyday. We also desperately hold on to the naive narcissism of youth — even as we grow older. So, we’ll shameless post things that we find interesting while assuming everyone is captivated by everything we do. …you’re welcome.

    This first post is dedicated to Caleb Copeland, without whom none of this would have been possible…so quickly…before we could change our minds.
